    Default High RPM, Big Turbos

Wondering if anyone here are running big turbos ie 2871,2876,3071,3076,3082 etc, are running there cars above the 7200rpm mark and have hit problems? 'other than the blown engine theory', so im asking the ones that have rebuilt there engines or know of others?

Mine will have forged rods, forged pistons, racing balance, race bearings, eibach valve springs, DCR VVT, cpe fuel pump, garrett 3076.

after looking at the cam profiles and had a techy look at the cams in our car is good for 9000rpm+ so this is safe.

I will be running to 7000-75000rpm, have i covered all bases or have i missed something?

OK... 8000rpm is a no go on the money im spending, if i throw another $10000+(est) yes it can be done. BUT im not! so with the work im getting done and money im paying prob 7000-7500rpm safe.

Taller / longer power band.. Seems obvious

Do some volumetric calculations Luke. Make sure your intake / Exhaust can flow enough gas fast enough at 8000 It's probably fine, but there's a limit somewhere....

Injector duty cycles and injector volumes at 8000 could be interesting to check up on.

    Good luck mate

only thing im thinking you might be missing is torque down low... i thought 3076's struggle to make power under about 3500-4000 rpm in a 3 (and probably a 6 as well)...
other thing is that the tacho only goes to 8000rpm...

Port, polish, reseat and use oversized valves? What are you planning on using for a gasket?

Dont think i need to go this route for the power im making? MPSG are looking after the rebuild with gaskets.

Troys looking after the turbo, mani side of things, should hit max boost at 3600rpm ( which is what im doing now) but wont be the same under this as the BNR. Troys wipping up a mani to help spool time but keep the torque curve flat as possible so it pulls nice and consistance through the rev range. my goal is to have it on at 3000rpm till 7800rpm see how we go MPSG will try to tune it safe and to what i want

300kw in a FWD is going to be a handful, you would almost need to run around with Semi-Slicks on the front just be even see at least 200kw of that to get some traction. .

Can you AWD convert one of these ??? Then 300kw would be fun and all used

regardless put some more vids of this thing up Luke ! Keep up the good work. ..

Looks like im on my own with this one! even the guys in the US have not done this. Lets see what happens . Problems i see are stroke length, DI firing, enough fuel. As Scaredycrow said

See how MPSGarage go with it

Stroke length brings up a thought.
Not sure about the specs on SP25s but do they have a larger bore ore larger stroke?
If larger stroke could a SP25 crank be an option?

Most likely its a bore difference, but it could be something to look at
