Thread: Aftermarket MPS Bonnets

  1. #1

    Default Aftermarket MPS Bonnets

Has anyone ever seen one of these hoods on an MPS in Australia?

Really tempted to buy one, I really like it

Looks Ok. I'm interested to see what the new MPS has before I think about bonnet scoops. You'd have to look into how it would affect the car as well. Something like that can make a big difference to a turbo'ed car, both ways

Sorry, not my cup of tea. It's mixing straight endges and curved lines and I think overall will look gaybar. You could have the same basic bonnet with all the venting and scoops, but it'd need to have lines matched to the car.

I think the stickers over the headlights don't help much either

I would love more air to the intercooler - but as soon as you move away from stock appeaance we lose our lovely sleeper look, more idiots try to drag you off, cops get interested and defect inspections start happening!

Not my cup of tea either

Yechhh... It looks way too busy. Ruins the smooth, curvy lines of the 3 MPS IMHO

typically i wouldnt like it BUT this has grabbed my attention....i would have to sleep on it before i made a change like that it could go horribly wrong once the novelty has worn off. Go with your gut feeling and roll with it!

The curvy lines in front of the mouth of the scoop just sh*ts it up.

Funny looks a bit like the new MSP hood scoop.

    Default I'd consider this

Painted of course. FRP or carbon - save a few Kg too.

    Amemiya kit :

    And with side vents :

I so wish we could get side/top vents, would be a great way to reduce the bane of TMICS - high underbonnet temperature.

Yeah I reckon those side vents would do a smashing good job of vacating air from some of the engine bay's hottest areas; at the top rear around the hottest exhaust components....

I really like the air vents on the side.

Not a fan of the scoop...would rather keep my current bonnet.
