I have a GFB on my 6mps, it's on recirculating at the moment and sounds great, you can vent to air and that sounds great too but it draws to much attention. Rally easy job to install too. Hope that helps mate.

you got turbosmart which is nice, gfb too which is nice aswell and easier to adjust from vta to 50/50 to fully recirc. Or can go a HKS like me! haha but its not loud enough so now i wanna get my hands on a GFB!

I have a turbosmart which i love, can be run vent to atmosphere or recirc. Only issue you will find with the turbosmart is the size. If gave me some issues when i went FMIC.

    I recommend the stock BOV.

Yeh save a few extra weeks and but a Cobb accessport.

Will give you a thousand times more fun than a BOV, actual performance gains, and no trouble from the cops.

(I have a turbo smart dual port - it works fine once you get it set up right.)

I have HKS BOV i dont mind it, but wish i had of just got a BPV like the one below, as when installing BOV can run a bit lean and backfire etc which mine does (I am running vent to atmosphere atm), i dont think u would have the issue with the turbosmart BPV running recirc feel free to correct if wrong

    The accessport rewrites the ECU.
The bov WILL effect the A/F ratio on shift - DO NOT recommend running it on FULL VTA (Vent to Atmosphere) since it will cause the car to run like a pig.
This mod wont increase power but it will sound sweet.

For more info regarding the accessport check the ECU mod section stickies.

so what would be an ideal setting for a BOV so i get some sound but also so the turbo doesnt run like crap
like a 60/40 with 60 recirculated or would 50/50 be ok

You got to work it out once it's on the car. Every car is different, and things like your driving style will mean what works for me might not work for you.

Most only allow Full recirc/Full VTA or 50/50, though you can modify the spring pressure.
50/50 is the most compromise, ive been running this since I got my car in 07.

Put an SRI on it and you'll probably get the "Pssch" sound coming through the filter anyway.

    Turbosmart > everything else.
Cost of turbosmart < everything else.
100% recirc = good for MPS

I base my BOV on the turbosmart.

I think both GFB or Turbosmart are just as good but I'd rather save up for a Cobb AP if you havent got it already.

So just as an upgrade from stock Su sell the turbosmart in two spring config,I don't need the dual port? Just want a replacment as my bov is leaking

GFB, Turbosmart or Forge are decent.

Can forge be altered from recirc to 50/50 to VTA?? or do you get a straight BPV/BOV?
