Hi Jeff, know of any updates on the Gen II Mazdaspeed 3?

I contacted Hypertech a few months ago and they were pretty vague on a timeline. There was also word about that they've started beta testing, but that was a little while ago. Just wondering whether you had any info?

    Cheers,

    Dan

Question on Lower Cooling Fan ON/OIFF temps. Can we adjust this ourselves, or is it just included with the flash?

Oh bugger. I thought they'd been going for a few weeks already.

Ah well, at least there's some progress of a sort. Cheers mate

They were still collecting information at the time.

as of right now, they're still testing it. last i checked they were just working on getting the testing started, but that was a couple weeks ago.

as for the temperature, it says that it allows you to lower the fan temps to match your thermostat temps.

The Max Energy allows you to adjust the “on/off” temperatures of your vehicle’s electric cooling fans to match a lower temperature thermostat, such as a Hypertech PowerStat. A low-temperature thermostat produces a cooler, denser intake charge, is less likely to detonate under heavy loads and allows the engine to make more power.

thanks for being patient with us right now.

Hypertech's site is showing this on their home page as available for 2010 MS3. 66hp gain it is claimed.

Good news for the gen2 guys and girls at last.

Note though, that 66hp gain is the maximum difference, not peak.
It's about 66hp more at high rpm when power of the stock engine has dropped of to not much.

Sweet might get one of these for my Gen 2. What's the deal when it comes to servicing, can just reflash back to stock?

i could find it under 2009.

This is the year Gen II started coming off the production line.

The year of manufacture shouldn't affect it as long as its the right model should it?
