Thread: Changing the battery on the MPS Advanced Key

  1. Default Changing the battery on the MPS Advanced Key

    Hi,

I have had my 2009 MPS for nearly a year and a half and the car display has notified me that the battery on the Advanced Key (remote keyless entry) is low.

I cannot figure out how to change the battery. The owners manual is no help as it shows a picture, and gives instructions of a totally different type of key.

    Any help would be appreciated.

There are two sections in owners handbook.
On rear side of remote ,there is a slide button , push forward and remove silver end which is the advance metal key.
Look inside the remote end slot ,and u will see two narrow grooves (one each side ) Now insert a small flat screw driver and pry apart gently . the two parts should seperate. Now replace battery creful to replace positive face correctly.
Clip it back together and bobs your uncle.

Welcome Simon. If you follow all of Pauls instructions, you too can have 200+ KWTW's and have a monster car. Be sure to include pics
