    Got mine from repco.

But be careful, Koni said that part number ending in 4040 was correct for the Mazda 3.
Not quite true, yes its for Mazda 3 and will fit the MPS and perform well, but part number 4045 is mps/mazdaspeed recommended by the R&D guy in America who owns a mazdaspeed. The rebound is more suited to the heavier MPS springs.

Had that argument with Koni Australia who questioned my order.
They said it wasn't for Mazda 3. True, its listed for Mazda 5. But they were out of answers when I asked if that's the case, why stock shocks for a car that doesn't exist in oz?

    Anyway..... get the 4045 shocks.

Or you could just go direct...
**** the USA. Why order shit from there when we have the parts here?
Keep the dollars here, not overseas

When it's a 25-30% saving, it's hard to argue with buying from the US

Tiny bit more effort, couple of hundred dollars saved...

Should add, that this is only in relation to when you want something specific... If you want suspension, sure buy local, but when it's possible to get (for example) koni fsd's for $800.delivered from the US, vs $1100 from local suppliers... Doesn't make a whole heap of sense really

Not from any old supplier like Repco. I mean straight from the Aust distributor.
Hasn't got excessive mark up then

The disty would let the general public (ie non-resellers) buy direct for less than what the average reseller would sell for??

If I were a reseller, I'd be p&ssed off about that......

Just for your info, the retail price from repco before my mates rates discount was still cheaper than any quote I got, including from a forum sponsor.

The local vs international sales argument will always go on, and there is good arguments both ways.
However, one that is important, should you have a problem with, its likely that the Australian importer would not warrent the part if purchased from overseas.
The extra time and freight cost will outweigh the initial savings.

PS. I support the Australian economy where I can, even if it cost a little extra.
What I do buy from OS, which is a fair bit, I only do it if I need the part fast (for my radio control cars)
It's usually here faster than if I buy locally.

Well I got Koni adjustable sports shocks (x4) and King springs for a total of $1050. Trade price granted. That was through Top Performance, Koni's oz disty.
I buy from the states too. ONLY parts I can't get here. Which so far, has only been decals. All my other parts I've been able to source, and if I've had to wait a little while, I've lived with it. I had to wait 4 weeks for Holland to manufacture and ship my front struts (via Top Performance). Oh well. It just made me enjoy the parts even better when they arrived.

    Oz economy FTW.
I'd love to hear the arguments when people call phone carriers, and get put through an international call centre. Psssst... It's cheaper to do so. Then Australian call centre jobs are lost.
    "Oh noes!"
    I hear you say?
It's the same with parts. Buy local. Keeps Aussies employed...
