Since this is a car forum here's a few that I use in the car:
Trailguru - Logs your route and gives you an overlay on google maps and a bunch of other data, I use it when i'm driving, cycling, snowboarding or anything outdoorsy
Trackday - A very simple GPS lap timer, start it running and once you complete a lap, will tell you all your lap times thereafter.
Lappingcoach - More advanced than Trackday, records speed and timing info at every point on the track and can be accessed for detailed analysis afterwards. Also gives you a live moving lap time which is an innovative and very handy way to construct a good session at the track (A bit expensive tho)
BP Locator - If you're a BP ultimate fiend.
F1.com 2011 - Live Formula1 stats
Timing '11 CP - Like the above F1 app but it has a track overlay and realtime graphic of all cars and their position on the track (Expensive tho)
These ones...
G-tac Free, 1/4 mile time 0-100km/h time
Ferrari Sound
Liviing Earth HD

Trapster - alerts you to fixed speed camera's, mobile one's and allows you also to report them as well so others will be made aware. Also good for alerting you to traffic incidents that may slow you down
How good is the live info in Trapster? I had an app called gasbag that was developed by a friend and was supposed to provide live data on fuel prices by users, I found it simply doesn't have the critical mass required and any info on fuel prices are so far out of date it wasn't worth using. If we can get a lot of people using trapster then that will be an epic win. I know in Europe they have dedicated devices that provide that same functionality and they work extremely well simply because there are a lot of users.
Hey reedy, I find in Brisbane there are a good amount of users to get good reporting. Today have had at least 4 speed camera and mobile radar alerts that were on my travels which have been spot on location wise. Like you said, critical mass of users is key factor.
prtty sure angry birds is the most addictive game ever

haha thats funny atm im addicted to " words with friends" its an exilent game
