I'd like to drop my 6, but I have an awkward driveway.
For example, KMH001's car would have to stay outside- I like the way it looks, but it's just too low for my place.
Once you have the car done, feel free to PM me. If you can bring the car down my drive, a block of cheese of your choosing is yours.
    Stilton, Gruyere, Wensleydale?
got any pics of your driveway?

I'll take some pics of the lip to surface distance prior and post installation as well as wheel to wheel arch. They should be up Monday day or Tuesday morning.

I would have used the camembert, but it was a bit runny...

    Default Post Installation

Ok, so 6 hours later and the King Springs installation is complete.

I managed to get some pre and post installation images of the front and back wheels as well as the measurement distances.

Pete, the guy from Wilkinson's assured me that whilst the car looks lowered slightly at the moment, to give it a few more days, say 2-3 days for the springs to completely kick in and get that nice lowered look. But to be honest, it looks good enough as is.

Anyway, hope this helps any others that are looking at lowering their MPS.

Ok, so the lip, full car sample and a measurement summary.

    Measurement summary:

    Front wheel: 7cm - 5cm
    Back wheel: 6cm - 4cm
    Front lip: 17.5cm - 15.8cm

After looking at the images myself, I feel that it doesn't really do it justice as most of the pics almost look identical which Pete told me would happen as he handed over the keys. Unfortunately it seems the pics might not be quite indicative of the measurements taken, but hopefully it can provide those who are looking at suspension some insight.

I'll upload some better images in the next few days after the springs have settled in and I have some more time to set up the car for better visuals.

As an afterthought, I'd say that vanity aside, the car responds a lot better and the turning has become a lot more responsive, and the W/A helped my shoddy left drift.

    I'd say $570 well spent.

I CAN ACTUALLY WASH THE TOP OF MY CAR NOW!

    It's painful to be short...

you'll drop another 1/2 inch or so once it settles.

    Are you on stock shocks?

cause you'd better start saving for some nice shocks

I'm on stock at the moment, and Wilkinson's recommended shocks at a later date which I'm considering.

What's a good brand to go with?

    Great Stuff, Oh Cheesy One.

Looks really good!! Low, but not silly low.
Thanks heaps for the pics & measurements, they'll help me decide if I can do the same.
If you're heading towards Mundaring at some stage, give me a shout/PM. I'd love to see it in the metal and see if she'll make my driveway.
    The brie's on me.

I'm happy you don't have to use one of these any more to wash your roof

Awesome informative write up, perhaps add some pics after a week or so and see if its dropped any more. I think mine might be lower than that, yours will get there in time once the springs settle. Make a big difference in the ride hey, more tight sharp turns and for the cash spent well worth it.

Old post I know, but which king springs went into the front, do you know? Was it the kmfl-25-HD or the kmfl-25-SL?
