Default GenII BL MPS cargo room...

    Hey fellow MPS'ers

Does anyone know why the Luxury version of the BL MPS has less cargo room then the standard MPS version?

    See this screengrab...

    Thanks, Muz

Subwoofer is in the spare wheel well (bolted to the spare itself).

The as a result the floor is a cm or so higher than the std model

    really?
I thought this may be the case.

This was one of the things I was surprised about with this car was the lack of size in the boot!
    Anyone else think the same?

The subbie sticks at least 10-15mm above the spare tyre. That should account for some of the reduced volume.

P.S. Tapatalk has changed the way it handles pictures for the worse. I took a lot better pic than what came up.

What are you carrying? I think the boot is fine. Its comparable to my old Golf IV GTI, but the only time it really gets filled is with luggage if going on a holiday or picking someone up from the airport

    im happy with boot size.

I had 2 29" suitcases packed to the max and it was fine.

Not carrying anything imparticular, however, coming from a GH mazda6, it feels really small.
Even compared to my GF's sp23 sedan, it still feels small.

FWIW it's fairly easy to sleep in the car with the back seats down and passenger seat all the way forward, I have done it and I am 6'4 tall.

I find the boot space decent enough, I will say that there isn't heaps of room for passengers in the back seat though, again especially if the driver has the seat all the way back.

Boot capacity was the last thing I looked at when buying the 3 MPS.

I really noticed the difference in boot size too!!! I looked inside a Lux in the showroom and thought, where'd the boot space go? 30 litres is a lot when you think about it......just my opinion though
