I know this is kind of a thread revival, but it has a question that was kind of answered that I've actually been searching for. Is it still ok to run a upper downpipe while still keeping the stock lower pipe (keeping the stock 2nd cat) and then running say an AP stage 2 map? Any much more of a performance gain getting a high flow 2nd cat?
Just something I've always been curious about to help save some cash and this thread popped up in my search

thats what im running, Corksport DP (short) with stock mid section then onto Corksport CB.
No issues on an etune and I probably could get more power by replacing it with a high flow but ive had this setup for a long time now without issues and just haven't gotten around to replacing it

Yeah I figured with a high flow second cat you'll get more power but I'm thinking about just breaking up the cost just to make it a little more affordable for me.
Sweet, thanks for that man, might get an ATP top and then catted ultimate racing piece or whatever is available

Anyone know which cat you can option with the ultimate racing pipe? The ceramic core or metal substrate? Not sure which one we can have here in terms of cell count

For the v2 downpipe, the ceramic is 400 cell and the metal 200 cell.

I assume they use the same cats for the race pipe too?

I'd say they would, thanks for that.
Not sure which one, sure power would be the same regardless both are good to use
