Default Flat front tire - where to put new one?

    Hi all

A few days ago I got a flat on my Gen II and it destroyed the front tire.
Im running expensive advan neova ad08's so I just replaced the one tire.

My problem is that im not sure where to put the new one on when I pick it up tomorrow. Im thinking maybe move both the rear tires (which have plenty of tread) to the front and put the new tire to the back with the other front one (with about 50-60% tread - dratted wheelspin ). Im assuming its better to have even tires at the front for braking and cornering (and probably torque-steer too)?

Does this sound sensible, or has anyone had a simmilar occurence before?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Put the rears at the front.

Nothing more annoying than having odd size front tyres and the steering wheel off centre.
Work van is like that and it bugs me everytime I drive it

+1 to putting the like tyres on the front.

Also, put the newest tyre on the left hand side of the vehicle. The LHS wheels travel the furthest (yes I'm serious)

    Thanks for the confirmation everyone.
Asked the shop to switch the front and rears around, much to their irritation
And scaredycrow, got the new one on the left. Lol
    Thanks

did you get them from albion tires and more ?

the boys there should be good about it they have rolled mine off the rims and swapped sides for me like 3 times on my last set so i could get even wear.

they should be able to repair a puncture ! unless you have driven on it for ages and broken the side walls

I had driven on it a little so they thought it would be ok when I dropped it off, but when they pulled it off the rim it was stuffed
And it was bob Jane t-mart who did it, it's a lease car so have to go somewhere that takes a particular card.

for 235/40/18 im paying 425 each so expensive

but you pay for what you get, they are the best road tire bar none, i too have been prone to punctures, sent a tweet to advanaustralia and they sent me a care pack free t shirt stickers stubby cooler etc its awesome
you will find the albion tires and more boys will take that card they took my lease card when i owned my ralliart colt that took AD07s

Thanks, I'll look them up next time I need tires.

I'm paying about the same for my 225/40/18.
And yep, for the performance in the wet or the dry, hot or cold, around town or windy country roads, I'm happy paying that price.
Need to get them to a track now
