Thread: Maximum offset

    Default Maximum offset

    Hi guys,

    Newbie here

Does anyone know what the maximum offset is that I can put on my new toy... aka 6MPS?

I assume from googling that the bigger the offset, the closer the outside of the wheel will be to the guard. What I mean, is that I hate it when you see cars that have nice wheels but the sit like 2 inches inside of the guards, when they could be nice and flush with guards, by the use of wheel spacers, orbetter yet by the right offset wheel.

I am looking at lowering with kings lows, and getting a nice set of 18's, or maybe spraying mine black.

    Cheers

Other way around - lower offset pushes the wheel further out. The maximum offset you can use is the OEM wheel offset of +52.5
spacers not a good ideal. Not legal in qld anyway...
+48 and 225 sit out a little further
+45, 8"wide rims and 235 would probably get what you're after with some gaurd rolling to keep things clear...
I wouldn't go any lower than +45, though.

    Search is your friend
    Discussed often.
Usually ends up in an argument between those that like safe cars and good handling vs. those that only care about looks

18x8 with +45 offset usually means guard rolling time if lowered or carrying weight

18x8 +45 with 235 tyres will fit flush with the edge of your guards

I"d probably go lower than +45.
I'm running 19x8.5 wide rims with +45 offset but still not sitting that flush with the guards.
I've got 235/35 19 tyres- yes i had to roll the rear guards.

if you want flush on an 8" rim you have to go +35... that what my black rims were and they were perfect flush with next to no camber.. and for guard rolling in bris, call Ty from Fine Fitment on 0432163456 he did the fender work on mine and he comes to you.. tell him ryan sent you and he will look after u..

rayd.. you would need something like my setup.. i have 18x9+30 with 225/40'S, coilovers, guards rolled and adjustable rear camber arms...
