Hi Blackbetty, I tend to take the picton turnoff, its quicker. Though I do somethings play tag with other mazdas I'm nearly 50 ( Grey Nomad in Training ) . And I do agree with you. Not all blondes are cranky, this one surely is though. I have to go wake her for cricket now.

Well blackbetty it well could have been. I do like playing tag with mazdas. Especially the poor people who chose not to buy a mps. But I usually choose the he picton turnoff, but not always. As for age I'll be celebrating my 50th. And the cranky blondes 43rd next month with a private party at the local pub.

My MPS has just done 51,000 kms and fitted DBA 4000 slotted rotors and low dust ceramic pads to the front, nice to have real brakes again. Better quality and half the price Mazda wanted for OEM rotors and pads. Highly recommend the combination. I was told that the reason for more brake dust on front rims now days is that pads don't have asbestos used in them anymore and that the frequency of ABS braking systems combined with softer pads causes more pad dust on modern cars.

Hmm, mental note, I should check last page rather than havw assumed my last post failed when I was having laptop issues. G73JH fast but not very stable sometimes. Im sitting here watching underbelly and using my milestone. I may investigate tap and talk for this.

Ok, took a drive to Penrith today and got in contact. I will go up Saturday and swap Rotors. Very helpful. I'm happy to recommend them. I think the DBA 4000 disks and ceramic pads are the best option for my MPS too.

Ahh. Good news. Talked to local mazda and me and the cranky blonde can install the dba4000's and hawk ceramc pads ourselves and not affect the extended warranty as long as I keep getting it serviced with them. He gave me the impression that he though I'd made a wise choice

Good result there. You get more satisfaction from doing it yourself
I'd paint the boring OEM calipers while they were off too.
    Good luck

What paint and colour did you use for yours

Have not done mine yet, but want to. Probably blue to match my paint, don't like the boring dull-silver/grey.
Haven't had the time to do it so far, but if I was ripping my brakes apart, I'd certainly give it a go

Went to Penrith and swapped the disks over. I can highly recommend mpsgarage. Very helpful. Will do silver caliper and may get motivated and do towbar as well, while cranky blonde changes the disks.

    What?
What were you doing to rip them up that quickly?
    That is amazing.

A lot of spirited driving, very late breaking and deep into the corners.

About the same story with the stock tyres, just short of 20000kms were declared illegal by Mazda dealer lol
