Yes, it is surprising when you look at the OEM setup where the collets go almost all the way to the floor inside the rubber bushes. You'd think that would be pretty rigid. But I did give the entire cage a wiggle to test the movement before disassembly and there is definitely a small amount of drift in the cage. None with the solid mounts after fitting them, and it doesn't seem to introduce any new vibration or harshness through the direct floor connection.
