I'm the same as MPSMatt, got the Aux jack in the centre console happening! Works a treat, no dramas with sound quality.
Just means you have to control the iPod manually, but thats not that big a drama.
You can get a 3.5mm audio lead for any amount you want to pay, I got mine from JB Hi-Fi and is a decent quality brand. I also got a charging unit, that also plugs into the centre console, so my 'Pod gets charged as well.

Just don't forget to tuck everything away when you leave the car, some Skeksi smashed the window of my mate's car just to get his iPod!

Thats the sacrifice you make, if you just plug it into aux jack then you have to use the ipod to change songs and "technically" thats illegal, its in the same boat as using your phone while driving.

The main reason I got the aux mod (audiolink kit) was to eliminate that but at the end of the day its what you prefer and how much you want or don't want to spend

And as Evil said, hide it when your not using it or out of the car, some people just see it and do the whole "smash and grab"

    Xcarlink

Should be cheaper than buying it from overseas. Works fine, plugs into back of stereo, gives you steering wheel control of the ipod.

Yup... I've got one in mine, works a treat. I think he's actually a member on OMC (the other one ), and offers discounts. See if you can track him down.

So wheres the best place in Brisbane to pick up the i-pod adapter that plugs into the aux on a 05 6mps? I tried the xcarlink above but they don't have Mazda listed anymore.
    Cheers Todd
