Thread: MPS 6 crappy handling - Wheel Alignment Issue?

  1. Default MPS 6 crappy handling - Wheel Alignment Issue?

hi everyone, bought an mps 6 ten weeks ago and having issues with handling after doing a wheel aligment.
When I first bought the car the handling was very good, sharp and responsive. Then I scraped the gutter with front left and (there was no issues at all with the handling just to make sure thet something was not bend) did an wheel aligment after which everything changed to complete crap.
The steering became light, a lot less responsive and the ride softer.
On a bumpy road the steering wants to go its own way and falls in the potholes making it very unpleasent.
Then I went to the mazda specialist and did another wheel alingment but nothing changed and they dont know what is the problem.
If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.
    thanks in advance ,,
    Josh

Well you sort of answered what I was going to say and get a 2nd wheel alignment from somewhere else..... Then my next step is to get the rim checked now, friend had a mazda 6 NA and after many alignments and complaining that when he got to 100k's on the hwy it would vibrate and finally worked out that 2 rims were buckled when he slid into a kerb 6 months earlier.....Good Luck. He bought 4 after market rims which were cheaper then 2 originals .

Maybe a long shot but Im not sure if they checked the tyre pressure after your alignment. These cars behave quite differently to even a drop in pressure of say 3 psi. I can tell instantly my tyre pressure is down cause the steering feels light and tyres feel qll squishy over the road.

I have mine pumped at 40psi front and 38 rear. They could have changed your pressure quite signifcantly down when they did your alignemnt balance etc ?

Just a thought its probably nothing so simple as that Hope you get it fixed anyway
