One of those was mine Interesting with the low numbers from the performance vee-dubs for November, December should be high as several ships docked late Nov!

Why does the Focus outsell the MPS3 3:1? Aside from price??? Also interesting to see half the Focus RS' have sold!
    R36 - Just like an MPS6 except with a growly V6

I have a few theories around this (besides cost diff):

    - It seems every second ad I see on TV at the moment is for Ford. They're campaigning very hard.
    - The XR5 is much less 'polarising' in terms of straight line performance than the MPS. I think the MPS frankly would scare a lot of people away.
    - A lot of companies would use Ford for their fleet, so I think there'd be a lot of XR5 company cars running about

    These are just theories though.

There are three times as many XR5's on business fleets. However, almost three times as many are also bought privately.

YTD Sales split by Buyer Type

    Ford XR5

    Private - 1,137
    Fleet - 402
    Government - 3
    Other - 3
    Large Fleet - 2

    Mazda3 MPS

    Private - 394
    Fleet - 133
    Government - 10
    Other - 5
    Large Fleet - 1

If I was to pick between the XR5 and the MPS today, I would pick the XR5....the choide would got nothing to do with price. Just like it was 2 years a go when I got my MPS a go, price was not a reason not to get the MPS.

I don't dislike the XR5 Al my mate I quite like the look of it, but most people go on price and sometimes $3000 Plus can make the difference, besides that Ford would be chasing numbers so they would be taking all opportunities to get group buys I use to see it in my field with appliances......

The Gen 2 appears briefly in the ads that Mazda were running for the 3 about a month ago

The Gen I appeared a few years ago with the devil ad (was a VR one with a devil's tail)
