I have adjustable Koni's with King springs. AWESOME setup...
How old were the MPS shocks? I know lowered springs lower shock life but 2 days!
For the 6 I would recommend Bilsteins, which are a simple bolt-in installation.
Koni's are a complicated installation in the 6MPS and require you to cut and machine the original dampers, not to mention the fact they don't offer nearly the same level of control.

Not nearly the same level of control??? Please...
If you're replacing the shocks, why would you need to cut and machine the old ones??? Koni's are a straight forward install too. The 6 may be a little different to the 3, but as a mechanic, NO shocks are difficult to replace.

anyone know the best place to buy bilsteins? and a $$ outlay roughly... part numbers would be good
p.s. the old shocks are from factory so 3 years old.....
Go to this link for starters:

4 years, 60,000km old shocks when I replaced mine. Were fine when I pulled them out.
Changed mine chasing a knock. Didn't work.
Absolutely love my koni's best money I've ever spent.
They are the self adjusting FSD shocks. But they aren't suitable for lowered springs.
I wouldn't hesitate getting koni sports
i think ill be going bilsteins. ill keep you all posted...
Good luck with it.
I have Bilstein which are made for the lowered springs.
They are a good match to the type of the car the 6MPS is (luxury sports).
I am very happy with them, and they are paired to King's springs as well.
No the Konis don't offer the same level of control. And I take it you've never installed Koni's on a 6MPS and don't know anything about fitment? You do in fact have to cannibalise the original shock bodies because unlike Bilsteins, Koni's are NOT a direct bolt in fitment. We're talking about 6MPS here, not 3MPS.
Gone to Volvo
Another option you could look at is the H&R coilovers, these are essentially a Bilstein gas monotube, with a progressive coilover spring setup, I have a set going in mine today, I'll let you know how they go.
After reading some of the recent reports of Koni's build quality, I'd go Bilsteins too.
Just Ordered the B8 billies today..have eibachs in already, so these should mate well..
What did the B8's set you back??
