Thread: JBarone SSP - an observation

  1. Default JBarone SSP - an observation

OK, So have had the SSP installed since just before settlers arms cruise now and driving to sydney the other day noticed that the whole gear stick seems a little twisted clockwise. I.E. the numbers and lines are not aligned straight with the car (not sitting 90 degree to the dash).

I thought maybe the knob was lose and needed tightenging but its as firm as and wont budge. the leather gear boot looks like its a tad twisted too. Car is driving fine and I only noticed it cause im one for symmetry and noticed the knob was not sitting 100% straight anymore.

Anyone else noticed this or have any thoughts what it might be ?

Umm no, havent noticed that side effect Mel.

Maybe have a squiz inside the centre console and see whats going on there.

The knob just screws on Mel, use a bit of force and you should be able to re-align it. Doesn't sound like anything serious and I doubt it's connected in any way to the SSP, metaphorically speaking of course, because there is a cable connecting them.

I have the JBR ssp and haven't noticed anything. Maybe check the ssp to make sure everything is still on tight

The j barone ssp has nothing to do with the actual gear stick, so I can't see why you would have that problem.
You don't need to touch it to install the ssp.
    Unless it's not a j barone ssp???

And Alan. Ummmm best let that comment slide
