Hi Greg - I'm due for a set of new front brake pads on my 3 MPS. The car is used as a daily with the occasional spirited weekend drive. What pads would you recommend/are available and how much?
Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan,
I'd go the QFM HPX, which are a Bendix Ultimate equivalent performance wise, but low dust and rotor wear, $110 for set, plus $8 shipping, and in stock.
Regards,
Greg
Thanks Greg - what's the best way to order? Just looked at your website and it seems my own PO Box is only a few from yours...do you have a shopfront locally which makes pickup easy?
Hi mate,
Sorry about the late reply! Easiest way to order is credit card over the phone, 1300 884 836, or else PM me your details, full name, delivery address (preferably a work or business address!!), contact number and email and I can fire you through an invoice with direct deposit details. Or else pickup from out workshop at Annerley is also available (cash or credit card only).
Regards,
Greg
Sweet - thanks. Will call tomorrow from work and probably arrange pickup.
I purchased these and am waiting on order now. I've read many good things about the HPX pads. Now to find some nice brake fluid to help keep braking heavily under control.
Low dust
Picked up a set of the QFM HPX off Greg yesterday and will put them in tomorrow.
Thanks for your assistance Greg!

Out of interest what courier do you use for deliveries? I wouldn't mind ordering some too but not really allowed to get personal deliveries to work.
From what I saw, Couriers Please.
Correct, Couriers Please, or if need be we can send via Australia post, but there's an additional charge.
Hi Greg,
slight thread hi-jack, but i'm in a similar situation to dan, except i need front rotors as well...
my car is 90% daily street driving with the occasional blast on a weekend
figure i'll pick up a set of pads like dan has, what rotors would you say i should get?
was looking at these:
http://www.ozmpsclub.com/forum/gsl-r...ed-rotors.html
probably just get the standard pair of fronts as i dont really drive it hard enough to see why i need slotted or is it worth while getting them?

It's really up to you whether you can justify them all not, like most things, spending more money does get you better performance, but if your current brakes are doing the job then there's probably little need to upgrade from that.
Std rotors are $135 each, and a set of QFM HPX pads is $110.

No worries, got your PM
Cant wait for my rotors!!!
The pads that I got put on yesterday are a bit squeeky when pressing lightly, does that go away after a little while?
The squeaking goes away when they heat up and for me (RDA Standard Rotors) it went away after about 1,000-2,000kms. You just have to wait for the surfaces to bed themselves properly.... Alternatively you can take the pads out and machine a chamfer into the friction material, but you'll lose a tiny bit of contact area.
