Fuel consumption

Hey guys,

just wondering, how many KMs u guys get on a full tank of fuel on a mazda 3 mps??

max i get just driving around the city, etc is just over 300km!!!!

My car gets about 450 per tank, and thats a mix or driving normal and spirited at times.

Although my car is tuned i remember getting more than 300 when it was stock.

Are you just hammering away with that thing? lol

I get around 380km average for city only driving.

300km sounds a little low...are you thrashing it??

yeah I am only getting around 350kms, only have 4000kms on my car.

Wondering is that will settle down soon and km's will increase ??

Also the other day I saw the fuel light for the first time, how many kms do you get with the fuel light on ?

I had one bad tank (seemingly bad juice) where I only got about 280K's Most of the time its ~400Km for me. Mostly daily city driving.

What fuel are you putting in? I know I go less distance on 95 v 98

on bp ultimate around 450, really carfully 500 i did a trip to syd topped 600 with a 1/4 left!!

I get about 10.5 lt/100klm around town using BP Ultimate 98.
On a trip I get about 8.0 lt/100klm.
Although I usually fill 'er up at about 380-400 klm. Somewhere around 35-40 litres used.
But... assuming that the tank is 55-litres then if I ran it to empty then that would be about 520 km around town and about 690 km on a trip.

I get around 550 - 600 out of a tank. However i live in the country and the majority of my driving is on the highway. However when i go for a fang in the Grampians i still get well over 400 and thats thrashing it up steep roads.

I get crap outtah mine. 5600kms on the clock and still thirsty as evah... Can't say I can recall getting over 400kms to a tank

BP Ultimate gives me the most though... I still don't think it's good enough.

I refuse to drive it like a Nanna though...

Wow, anything above 400kms would be good.

I'm assuming it is because the car is relatively new.

I only give it a squirt here and there so that couldn't be the issue.

I've heard different things, would a CAI improve or make fuel consuption worse ???

500kms? Damn I wish.. In the MPS3? ...Ermm usually averaged between....370 to 400. And people are saying their economy is improving after they have a few more kays on them. So it may very well improve for you.

I keep a record of kms and fuel used every time i fill up, here's some interesting stats..

2008 Mazda3 MPS w/ Cp-e 3 inch turbo-back & SRI.

Avg Fuel Consumption: 11.52 L/100km

Lowest Fuel Consumption: 8.82 L/100km

Highest Fuel Consuption: 15.92 L/100km

Avg Trip Distance: 435.25 km

Least kms from tank: 307km

Most kms from tank: 556km

Total Spent on Fuel: $2386.45

Above stats have been taken over 32 tanks of fuel, with a total of 14,362km since new. Car is driven how it should be and always use 98 octane V-Power or Ultimate.

i use always v-power 98 octane.

for me driving normal and giving it i get about 300km.

driving like a nanny, i get over 300km.

Wen my light went on, it had about 10L left, as i filled up my tank with 45Ls.

10L should get you about 60-80ks depending on the pressure of your right foot.
