    Talking New 3MPS Owner .. Finally :)

    Hi All,

Couldn't sleep last night in anticipation of picking up my 2010 Black 3 MPS today

At 2pm I drove out of the dealer's yard like a nervous L-plater getting into a car for the first time.

All I can say is the 2 month wait was well worth it Now I just have to get use to that sudden turbo rush ;-) Zoom-Zoom !! or like the guy who drove my car at work said today...Holy SH*T !

Pics to follow soon possibly Sunday after lots and lots of driving Saturday with my wife and kids.

    Naasif

    Hi Guys,

Sorry couldn't make it today on the cruise. Too many family commitments.

Went for a nice long drive on Saturday with Wife + 4yrold and 2yrold. My 4yrold kept shouting ... Go daddy .. GO GO GO ! :-) I think he likes the car.

Ended up doing around 300kms round trip from the North West of Sydney down to Wollongong, then via Picton and Campbelltown.

A few things I've noticed so far

    1. Why did it take me so long to buy a turbo car ?! The almost instant acceleration...in any gear ! I'm addicted and so is my wife.

    2. Now I know what everyone is talking about with torque steer on firm acceleration. The steering wheel fights you. Probably best holding the wheel with 2 hands instead of one like I use to

    3. No-one picks on you on the road, which is a good thing as my wife will be driving the car as well. My old Civic coupe would attract all sorts of idiots trying to race me at the lights.

We drove up Mt Ousley on the way back from Wollongong to Picton. I was in 5th gear up the mountain.. and still accelerating up the hill without any effort ! My old cars would need a gear-down just to keep a constant speed.

Saw one VR Gen II MPS in Campbelltown on the way back. I waved..he signaled back. Not sure if he was a OZMPS member.

So my grin hasn't died down.

Here is pic taken on Sunday. Excuse the bug-splatter on the front (lots of bugs in Picton ) Number plates get changed next week to my wife's old plates.

Nice work mate. I also love the fact that I rarely get picked on. When I do it's usually by clueless people who think it's a buzz box

I have to ask though..... what is that on the dash?

hahaha It's the Cookie Monster soft toy, from Sesame street. It was in our last car for about 10 years sitting on the dash! Never faded in the sun. I think it brought us good luck so now it's found a new home

    thanks guys

Noticed today my fuel low light has just started to come on and I've only driven 425kms so far. Suppose that's normal with MPS turbo ?
