Default Installation cost for CS FMIC & CP-E DP

    Hi all,

I'm looking at purchasing a CS FMIC kit & CP-E DP for my 6MPS. As I'm not mechanically inclined, I will have to get these 2 parts installed professionally.
Does anyone know how much will it cost roughly to have these 2 parts and which workshop should I go to? Oh, I'm in Sydney area.

    Thanks gents!

Best Mufflers for the DP fitting. He has put DP in the MPS before. Give Chris a call, he loves working on MPS's.

I read all 15 pages on Best Mufflers DP and sounds like Chris really love working on Mazda! But I thought he works on 3MPS and not 6? I was planning to get a DP from Chris after reading all the praises Doc sings of him!

"loves" but it's probably the same for anyone who has worked on a MPS...
the DP is 1180, plus 550 for an "easy" job and 650 if it's a "f*cking b!tch of a job"

plenty of people (myself included) will suggest you go to BM, chris clearly enjoys what he does, and does a damn good job as well...
when i was dealing with him, he showed impressive customer service in everything he did (knew about the DP install he sent to perth, and all about cton's engine woes... and stayed open after usual closing time so i could pick my car up after a long day at work)

...and what about the one he sent to Brisbane??? Jeez, doesn't take long...

The BM DP was my first major mod. But my best to date (exhaust a very close 2nd). Luckily we have some good blokes here in Brisbane who installed mine.

I'm not a fabricator, so I know nothing about welds etc, but others will testify to his workmanship. Of course there are many other options out there. The CES DP seems to be a good unit with its split pipe setup.

In the end, any DP will be advantageous, just up to you what product wins you over. I for one support local product, so BM DP for me. Good Luck with the shopping!!

Has Chris created a DP for 6MPS...? Am I missing anything?
From kmh001 post #268 on BM DP thread, he said that Chris wouldn't be making a DP for 6MPS. Perhaps the demand isn't as high as for 3MPS. Or 6MPS DP is simply a b*tch to work with!

There's a fair bit of fitting and some Dremel work in the FMIC fitment. Allow a good day just for that alone. To get it all done and tidy, I'd allow a good workshop and two guys who know what they are doing a good 2 days. I've done both myself and I am OK mechanically, but there are issues which are not apparent in the instructions, to both DP and FMIC fitment, such as easing the aircon lines around the LH headlight to allow the FMIC-TB plumbing to fit properly, just as one example. Also the CS kit provides a stupid tapered end to the TB inlet line that does not accept a silicon hose properly and which has to be cut off and replaced with a new parallel end welded back on. If you need more details, PM me for my phone number so you can call to discuss.

BTW, both OEM DP's are a bitch to remove, whether a 3 or a 6.

How much did the DP end up costing you including shipping Yeldarb? How much was installation and where? Wouldn't mine finally getting mine done

its not worth it with the front mount too much turbo lag better off with a top mount. the downpipe is a bit off work as i have done it in my car and it is a hard job.
