Default Opinions on these painted stock wheels.

    Hey everyone.
Do you think this looks good with factory wheels painted black?
Im about to get the tires stripped off and take them to work for painting.
    They'll go semi gloss black.
this is a photoshop job i did.
My balls are small and i cant pull the trigger on this one for some reason.
What you think? To do or not to do?
    Thanks everyone!

I like it mate, looks cool. I would colour the Callipers to have a bit of contrast but that's just me.

Totally agree with you. I was thinking some Eibach springs. Im a little concerned with the stock shocks coping. And tire wear from camber.

I have the stock shocks, not a problem. You may need to have an alignment done after lowering though.

I think the gloss black would be good with the white. not sure with the silver though.
And those black nuts can get pretty expensive. maybe down the track.

No need for camber kits then? there is enough adjustment in the stock setup?
I had a VX commodore that was lowered. It chopped through rear tires way too quick. and it had the camber adjusted as much as it could without using a camber kit.

vt,vx were renowed for that problem, thats why they required the camber kits.i have coilovers and is pretty much as low it can go with no wear issues.just getting a set of lowered springs should not be a problem, just get someone to set it up right and you'll be fine.will definetley need an alignment after lowering, goes without saying.

    thanks guys,

    yeah magman @ punchbowl
it was $110 per wheel ($10 extra per wheel for the pearl)

quality is fantastic worth every $$

I sold them just after I put them on the car, loved the look but as im running FSD's/pro kits the ride is already a bit firmer than stock, and with the 18s it was borderline uncomfortable for me on my daily travels, nothing too bad but the bigger bumps almost turned into a 'crash' type bump didnt feel great.

so back to running SP25 wheels, which I might paint also.

cant go back to the stock gap..

Gunmetal looks awesome, i would love to do that to my stock wheels.....but the price is abit dear for me

The black looks ok on that colour.

But my preference is still the Gunmetal Grey! But thats just me.
