Stock Tyre size appears to be: 245/50/R20

Sooo... Yes you will most definitely need guard work. I'd guess LOTS would be about enough

But you'd want to go a much lower profile trye as well, and maybe narrower as well. Think 235/30's or even 225/35's if you can find them.

Good luck mate, It will look schmic when you'r done. Hope you can live without the torque though

I saw an MPS 3 with them on at the coast the other night, the actually looked pretty good, it was a black Gen 1, but from what I have read and been told the looks are not enough to put up with the shit ride and derceased handling, although that is a 3 not a 6.
Nice looking wheel and creates a nice look, depends what your after I gues, if the ride was not all that bad i'd consider them, and as for handling I am not a track day person so wouldn't bother me all that much (as long as it still handled to some degree).

Post pics once they are on would love to see them on a 6

Yeah the weight doesn't worry me too much,
i have been tracking the car for the last year or so (drags and circuit)
with the RX-8 wheels so i kinda have that out of my system,
can always swap wheels back if i have the urge again,
as for ride quality (and i hope i'm right) with the Teins on the softer
setting they are too soft so mayby ok for the 20s.
I've seen a few on 6mps but havent been able to find out the
tyre size and any rubbing issues.

I should have had a closer look at tyre specs but didn't think, plus I had the missus with me going to dinner so I would have got the look from her saying this is a dinner date not a check out cars date, I am guessing the 3 and 6 would have different clearnace issues anyway so one tyre on one would be perfect but masbe not so on the other.

    But looked good.
I would like to see them in chrome actually against a black car.....would cost to much to get them polished but i'm sure.

225/35/20 seems to be the go and just the rears need rolling, (thanks GEO4GE)
now just have to decide what brand tyres and find a guard roller that will not crack the paint.
    Anyone recommended in Bris?

Todd I inquired about guard rolling and thought it was way to dear to NSW I'll see if I left notes with details in my diary.

    Here is one thread: http://www.ozmpsclub.com/forum/handl...ighlight=guard

I'm still looking Todd, I did ring someone over cleveland way and the price was much higher the the quotes in the link above.... Going to check my old emails I'm sure he emailed me something...

Found it I thought it was dearer than that but i didn't need it with my 235 +46 offset...

    Hi Rino
The cost to roll the two rear guards is $150 all up including travel. You can contact me on 0400 622 116 if you would like to book a time.

    Cheers
