Default What a detail can do - D40 Navara 4x4

    Hey Guys and Grils,

This shows what can be done with a good detail (and a fair bit of knowledge!) There was a lot of work put into this one and that showed in the results. I had one very happy owner at the end lol

I spent the day with this one today. It gets used a a 4WD and it had a small excursion off the track and ended up like this.

It got up to 5 stages of polishing in places. Most got 3 or 4.

    Products used were
    Megs 105
    Menzerna Powergloss
    Menzerna Intensive Polish 3.01
    Menzerna Final Finish 106FF
Dodo Need For Speed as LSP

    Pads
    Yellow edge
    Green Edge
    Blue Edge
    White Festool Waffle
    Black Festool Waffle

Rear trim and front bullbar got Black WOW

    Before

    After

$500 for this one due to the extra work. It was under insurance anyway so the owner didnt care what price, should have charged extra again but im too honest

Dan..... Would this reduce the "Orange Peel"..... or would that require further treatment?

Dan used some pretty heavy compound on this job and no doubt a fair amount of paint was used to remove the defects, however I doubt there would be a difference in the orange peel that you would consider significant.

No it didnt reduce it. To remove peel you must wetsand the car.

Knew you were going to say that...... noticed it before, but never really worried about it till Maniac opened his trap..... Now I can see it ever time I look at it.

    Cool, looks good. Good pricing.

Can you fix minor paint issues..... we had a little whoopsy, insurance said they would pay for it but we have been to lazy to find some1 to do it.

The fluro fell out and landed directly on the car... very unhappy.

    Lol thanks mate.

Keep going you will get there. For a job like this you would need more than the rotex though. Had to pull out the big guns. The rotex would do it but it would take ages
