No outcome yet, but looks likely to be the problem in post 40, see below.

Jmac, I had the same issue, took it to Mazda (the same dealership you have been taking your MPS to I believe), I gave them a copy of the document to help them out. Picked up the car in the afternoon, and it no longer CLICKS! :-)

i had similar issues turned out to be a failed CV joint 2 months out of warranty....but mazda came to the aid and replaced it under warranty inc parts & labour.

Funny you mention that... I did the same thing.
Apparently they just greased up the hub and it was okay?
Fishy thing is they had it for three weeks

Yep Livo Mazda on the Hume Hwy. And they said that they did an Aurora Blue MPS not so long ago, with the same issue, so that must have been yours. They said all they did was greased up the hub on my car...but i think they knew precisely what it was, but didnt really want to let on, which is fine by me, the problem is gone... -> They kept your car for 3 weeks!??!! They must have found the solution to the problem after working on your car, and did the same fix on mine. Funny thing was, I was in a car park the other day and another MPS 3 was backing out of a car spot, and i could hear the very same clicking noise coming from that car too. Must be a common issue with the earlier ones..

I had mine in for a knock and click a few weeks ago. The knock is sorted, the click has returned, so I'll be going back armed with this advisory...

let us know how you go. I requested a knock in the front left suspension be looked at when I took mine in. They couldnt find the cause...The shock wasnt leaking, and they torqued everything up, but its still there :-(. But at least the clicking is gone....

Guess it depends where you take it, the dealership I had it at had the car for 3 weeks... Id say a few hours once they get to your car, pull it apart and grease it up.

I have spoken to tunehouse.. id rather they do it.. I dont trust mazda as for as i can.... well thats close enough

If you are after a good dealership I can recommend Tom Kerr @ Ryde, if its not too much of a hike.

i think thats where i've been taking mine for service... and they still reckon they couldnt find the clicking noise said they drove it on all different terrains lol.. dopey pricks would of heard it, as if they dont give the cars a squirt when there driving them...

Speak to John Gilmore. He will sort you out. If need be, point them to this thread.

In my case the hub needed greasing, according to a different dealership.
Though that TSB may or may not apply to your car (on prev page).

If they still cant hear it take one of the guys for a test drive and see if you can replicate the sound.
