Default Stealth Wagon - Octavia RS

    http://www.themotorreport.com.au/410...t-drive-review

Pulled up behind this today. Those GTI drivers out there, have you ever considered an Octavia? I'm a big fan of wagons in general (love the Audi Avants) but you don't see a lot of performance wagons in Oz except for the Holden SS Sportwagon or the Chrysler 300C.

They have the same running gear as a GTI, but obviously a bit heavier. Still as a family rocket, the tuning options are immense! If you read last months Hot Tuner comp in Motor Mag, so many companies do VW upgrades.

I'm a huge fan of perormance wagons too, and a fan of Skoda, but unfortunately the RS badge ins't enough to turn the Octavia platform into a high performance car. It would need AWD and 200kw before that happened.

That was the reason I didn't buy one they need an Octavia RS with a Golf R/S3 drivetrain! They are also based on the Golf V which means 147kw motor and no Electronic Diff Lock, though that is just a fancy term for clever use of ABS and traction control
    R36 - Just like an MPS6 except with a growly V6

I stand corrected. R36's are awesome.

Glad there are other wagon lovers out there.
