Default What wheels fit the MPS?

Well it's time to replace the tyres on the MPS and I'm thinking of buying some second hand rim with good 90%+ tyres.

I know a lot of guys have put on RX8, CX7 and CX9 so there must not be a problem with these....

What else fits the stud pattern and has the right offset?

Has anybody put wheels on from a Ford AU, BA, BF???

Would 245/40/18 fit the standard MPS6 rim?

I found the PCD the same as the Falcons. The problem is, the offset. Am interested to see how this goes as I had considered Falcon rims as an option...

I have seen someone with wheels the same offset as the Falcon, however you would need to get them engineered (even if they don't hit the guards) as you will be increasing your track too much. For NSW anyway.

Pity though as some of the Ford/FPV wheels are awesome.

No 245/40/18 would not fit on the standard MPS6 rims, the max you can put on them is 225/45/18 or 225/40/18(even though some people will rant and you and say that fitting is illegal.

The offset is the killer fo the Mazdas. mine are 18x8 +45 offset with 235/40/18 and I neded my rear guards rolled as I had slight rubbing

Mine are the same size wheels, tyres and offset.
I haven't rolled my guards yet... Will see how things go first...

Like I was telling Grajy the other day; Col (You Lose) is running 245/35/18 on 18x8 with 45 offset; guards rolled and slight rubbing with passengers in the back; but then his car is seriously low.

The 245 width looks awesome from behind.

p.s. his fronts are NOT 245! They're 225/40/18, same rims though.

My suggestion is 225/45R18 on 18x7.5+48.
No gaurd rolling really necessary with most domestic tyres, but go for Kumho KU-36 Or Falken RT-615 and you should - I had to.
225/40 also fit to same wheel and won't need the roll, but you'll have even crapper speedo accuracy (thinking 3). Most people don't seem to care.
I wouldn't go 245. If you want wider than 225, I'd be picking 18x8+48 and fit 235/40R18. Common falcodore tyre size which = good pricing.
If you really want to go wider than that, be sure to get a high offset of +48 or more (+52.5 max)and 8.5" wide wheels.
I'm conservative about this. I would not be comfortable with such an aggressive fitment width.
+45 8.5" wide would be asking for a canary around here, I think.
Copper had a good hard look at my guards last time I was checked.

Other thing to remember is where your inside track sits. If the inside track sits further inwards, steering gets heavier. inside track sits further out, steering gets lighter with more negative feedback. Function of offset. +48 with 225 tyres places the inside track within 0.5mm of the stock position, for all intents and purposes the steering and feedback is stock feel.
