Thread: Noisy Clutch Bearing (Thrust Bearing)

  1. Default Noisy Clutch Bearing (Thrust Bearing)

    Hey guys,

I have an 08 MPS which has done just clocked over 10,000Kms (not many).

I have noticed that the thrust bearing in the clutch is very loud I.e. Press clutch in, quiet. Release clutch, loud bearing noise.

Does anyone else have this issue or is it a common problem with these cars?

The car is still under warranty, wondering whether to take it to Mazda and get it replaced.

    VERY common.

Mazda will tell you it is normal for this model.

I have the exact same problem and it annoys the crap out of me

    Hi there
Have a quick search it's been covered quite a few times before. To summarise yes it's normal (for an mps at least). If you have it replaced (throw out bearing) the noise will just come back..
