Not the interval, the frequency.
Not the interval, the frequency.
so changing your oil at 5k as opposed to 10k is going to cause problems..?
I find that hard to swallow..
Doc
It's only a problem when you run a closed PCV system, like most of us do.
It was explained here: http://www.ozmpsclub.com/forum/tech-...e-changes.html
cheers bud
my car has 48k km,what u guys recommend me to do ?
I'm going for my 100,000km service next week and I am going to start using an upper engine cleaner before every service. The Subaru solution seems to be a preferred choice as it is designed (or at least officially endorsed) by a vehicle manufacturer not an aftermarket supplier.
That said - Nulon has a suitable product out now, while it has no official list of it's makeup, a glance of the MSDS seems similar to the Subaru product.
Has anyone used the Nulon product? From my experience, Nulon make some great products (anything with Teflon excepted).
Just wanted to get opinions, took my car to have just a regular 5000km service as usual to my mechanic who's a mazda specialist for over 30 years now. Me and him got into a discussion about using engine cleaner on the MPS.
he reckons that we shouldnt as there is a chance that all the gunk ends up in the bottom of the sump where he says there's a "catch filter" (can't remember his exact words) and can block that up and in turn, risk a chance of dropping oil pressure during operation unless one is going to clean out the catch filter in the near future. He said that he had one experience with another customer's MPS's engine malfunctioning (not sure if thats a forum member).
Just thought I'll post and see if I can get some debate/opinions about this.
