Default Mod's to come after taxtime...

Hi all. Just thought I'd share my not too distant plans to my stock '08 Aurora MPS3.
Been in touch with MPSGARAGE, and this is what I've decided.

CPE FMIC (the one with the ram-air)
    CPE Dump Pipe
    CPE Cat Back
    CPE Rear Engine mount

Also, gonna get a good mate of mine to window tint it. And I wanna get some personalized plates too. Spose it depends how much I get back from tax too. .

Comments, advice, thumbs up??? All would be helpful.

    Haha.

Another car-nut mate of mine said to me the other day, "Tax time is when aftermarket parts shops get 99% of their profit!"

    I'd have to agree. lol

    While CPE make some good gear I would go the following;

CPE FMIC (the one with the ram-air) - I think you are talking about the corksport one? The CPE doesnt have RAM air... This is a good bit of kit and if you have the moolah for it your heading in the right direction.

CPE Dump Pipe - I would contact chris from best mufflers in Sydney. His DP is great, and the cat is flanged for easy removal (Read, dont have to remove the whole DP to replace cat @6hrs labour).
CPE Cat Back - Nothing wrong there, though there are other options.
CPE Rear Engine mount - Win! Got one too, V happy.

Just curious when you say Ringwood do you mean Ringwood in Melbourne?

Cos if you do I should point out the corksport kit probably isnt legal in Victoria. You are only allowed one modification to the intake and they would probably view it as two. The site specifically says you can change your intercooler or your filter but not both. Sorry to be a wet blanket but I thought you should know before you do anything.

If you don't live in Vic then enjoy! *shakes fist*

I would suggest only fitting one mod at a time.

This way you can learn the pros and cons of each and enjoy the benefit each item gives you, except for the rear engine mount, don't wait, but it now, you won't regret it.

If you like brand names, this is the way to go, I just prefer quality hand built parts I've built myself.

+1 for the Best Mufflers DP over the CPe one. Forget the system, it'll only give you a small increase for the cost and a little more noise. Intake and DP for the win.

Hey guys. Thanks for the responses.
Yeah, I'm in Victoria, although I doubt a mod limit applies. Never heard of one...
And yeah I meant the Corksport FMIC. I forgot to state that when I wrote it. That's why one shouldn't post on a forum late at night. :P lol
Anyways, I'm not fussed about labour costs as I'll be working on the car myself. Always have with my cars, always will...
I've been umming and ahhing about the cat-back, so at this stage, I might put a hold on it. FMIC, rear engine mount, and a CPE DP. How's that sound???

all downpipes are offroad and race only...technically you cant change your cats or delete them.

$200 bucks more.. its 100% tig welded, very high quality & aussie made. its a solid mutha. And the cat is much bigger/better/higher flowing than the small CPE one (especially after a few of us know of at least one cat letting go and rattling around in the housing, no one pulls them off to check, so who knows if its widespread or not)
The cat is at least twice the size if not more, and at 100 CPI it will flow like its almost not there.

Wicked, Doc. Exactly the amount of info I was after. In that case, SOLD.

    Shopping list reads like this;

    CPE rear engine mount
    BM DP
    Corksport FMIC
    Darkest legal tint
    Personalized plates "GRAJY"

And Full set of NEONS (JUST KIDDING. DON'T SHOOT ME! !)

I've never spent much time on any forums, but let me say, you guys have been great. I can't wait to bolt on my soon-to-be-bought-gear, and meet up with ya'll on a cruise.

P.S. I agree Doc. Do it once, do it right...
