    Default Transferring Warranty

Has anyone got any advice on transferring warranty?
I noticed that the lasy owner who only had the car a short time never had the warranty transferred to them, will this cause me any dramas at all and is it best to ring a Mazda dealer?
Also my car is not due for its 40k service for another 2000km but it has been over 12months since it's last service. I will be getting a service early next week if I can decide of the best place to get it serviced in Brisbane, but seeing as it has been over 12months and has not been serviced acording to time schedule on the log book but is still within the km range (under 40k), will this effect my warranty?

Servicing plays an integral part of the warranty process.

The dealership should be able to offer some assistance in the transfer of warranty. If in doubt, perhaps a call to Mazda HQ and advise of your VIN?

If there has been no service in the past 12 months, recommend oil and filter. Inspect air filter as well.

    This might be of assistance:

Air filter is pretty clean a;ready had a look at that, oil is a little smelly (always told that was a sign it needs changing)
Will be hopefully getting it serviced next week or week after.
Anyone know how much a 40l service will be roughly?

It'll turn a bit carbony after a bit - and probably smell like carbon too. Mines getting black already. I'm changing mine on the weekend.

Give a few dealerships a call.

I use South City Mazda, Mt Gravatt.

When i changed the warranty over for my car, I am pretty sure all they asked for was the registration and VIN number. Then i gave all my details and that was it.
