I applied locktite to mine then torqued to spec, after approx 500 klm ,i re checkeed and all ok . U can not even feel any vib in mine at all ,except when A/C is on and i can live with it.
Now no where near the nose lift or drop.IMO an absolute must Mod.
I also used a S/S lock nut on the bolt through the bracket. Couple extra bucks.

    Hi Lachlan,

I have a 75duro, and havent had to retorque any bolts yet. I've had mine on for ... 3 months?

I'll still ask them at my next service to run a spanner over them all.

i had my car serviced monday...
i got him to check if the mount needs re-torquing. 3500kms after install. still all tight.
But to be honest. kinda wish i went with the 60duro instead of the 75.

what torque specs did you guys tighten to. my creaks are back I'm thinking 110nm was still too tight, although they are better than before.

As per the CPE install sheet, i think it was 80ft lbs from memory.

Hope that mine does not creek. It will drive the misses crazy and I will be in the bad books (again).

dunno, seems to be me only. many people have done their rear mount using CPE and havent read any complaints. Will be redoing mine on the weekend, so I'll let you know

Got mine installed today. pretty easy install, but the bolt between the stock mount and frame was on so tight. needed 2 wrenches and a person stepping on both to get it off.
only driven it back into my garage so fat, but it sounds better. can feel a few vibes through the steering wheel and can really hear the engine even at low revs. Hope it does not settle too much, wish I got the 75 actually now.
    Anyway, very happy so far

Got the cp-e 75 duro engine mount installed yesterday. I love it but the misses seems to stall the car now! The car just feels better!

    Hey,

Sorry for a very very late reply (i dont get much time on here), Car is still knocking, i am putting it down to shocks. Everytime i go up drive way or through some rough and not so rough roads its knocking like a mofo! Terribly annoying when the shocks have been changed over 3 times under warrenty. I would like to get the ball joints checked out to eliminate that possilbilty if that is maybe a cause.

My car is MPS 3 07 mod. 82000k now.

what car do you have and how many km? was reading that the MPS 6 have ball joint issues where the rubber has broken apart... but yea make a new thread if you want to discuss further, kinda getting off topic

Just a hint to anyone looking at getting this mount: spend a couple of dollars and get some good locktite. My center bolt started to come loose within a week, tightened it (always to the propper torque with a torque wrench and using the lock-nutt supplied) and it loosened again so I had to pull the whole thing out today and locktite everything to death!
Probably just the crap bumpy roads I drive on, but thought this might save some people the hassle.

Just installed 75duro 2nite, took about 40 mins., handy trick using the 19mm as leverage to push the engine forward.

I didnt actually notice much more vibrations. And not a huge difference in feel. Its different, but not huge. Will probably have to re-torque it at work...

Older installation instructions for the inserts say you can install it without taking the engine bracket off at all and just levering the engine with a 19mm socket to get the stock mount in and out, you reckon that's still possible? May save a bit of effort for me when mine arrive. I would rather keep the number of bolts I need to crack to a minimum where possible.

Im pretty sure that you can physicaly do the whole thing without undoing the bracket, as there is probably enough room to just pull the mount out, but there are 2 considerations:

    1) the center bolt (one that connects the mount and the bracket) might be pretty hard to undo from under the car, I had to take mine out and fight it to get it undone. The nutt is welded on, and the bolt was pretty siezed.
    2) the tightening order goes 'bushing bolt, bracket bolts, center bolt'. if you don't take the bracket off, your effectivly going 'bracket bolts, bushing bolt, center bolt'. Don't know what difference this would actually make though.

    Anyway, good luck.

    Default Rear engine Mounts CP-E 60duro + CP-E CAI A Must

I want to thank lup15 for his instructions and pictures which made the rear mount install easy. Also thank Aetherfury for his post on the CP-E CAI Install instructions.

After spending half a day at "Competition Engines" in Westall Victoria my MPS 3 Gen 2 came back to me re carnated!!!!!!!!!!

Who ever is holding back getting the rear mount because they are worried about a niggly vibration down low in revs is crazy. The good outways the bad 10:1. The gear changes are smooth and the car is a different animal. You will not look back. MUST DO.

As for the CP-E CAI what can I say apart from whhhoooosshhhhh!!!!! This was delivered to me in 2 days from mps.garage and installed professionally by Zoran at "Competition Engines". Best money I have ever spent on this baby.

Next I will be getting the CP-E downpipe to allow a bit more flow through the exhaust. I do like the sound of the CP-E catback but dont know if it is worth getting for sound only as many have said there is not much improvement on performance from the catback. Standard twin exhaust is very nice anyway.

Last on the agenda is a tune but I really want that done when someone is able to develop a flash for the existing computer.. This forum has been a great help. Would also like to thank the guys at mps.garage for convincing me to get the CAI and not the cobb SRI. The CP-E CAI looks a better install with my silver beast and I think it gets more out of the motor.
