So as a result of this I have some parts that some of you may be interested in, I've put them all in the one thread to make it easier. This is true Mel, I looked long and hard for something that grabbed me the same way as the MPS 6 did and sadly I couldn't find anything, the Golf R may have but the boot is too small and I need a little bit of space there to carry stuff around. Volvo are releasing a new S60 soon and this in the AWD with a T6 engine may also be a good MPS 6 replacement but I'm not sure I can buy a Volvo, let alone get caught in one and two I'm not sure when this will be released and if the T6 will be in it? So R36 is the most logical choice for me. btw this is the same rationale I gave my wife when I told her my decision

Chris, to be Honest I don't know much about the car your after so I thought I would investigate...

    Brand : Volkswagan
    Badge : Passat R36
    Drive : AWD
Country of origin : GERMANY (booyeah!)
    Weight : 1681
    Compression Ratio : 11.4

This is where things get interesting if not already

    Power : 220kW @ 6600rpm (+30kW)
    Torque : 350Nm @ 2400-5300rpm
    0-100kmph figure : 5.6seconds
    Fuel Combined (l/100km) : 10.0

I would say the upgrade will make you one happy chappy! No doubt it will be a better built car, rolling out of Germany. Safer and superior. The features list goes on. Any idea on colours? I was thinking the cool blue would look awesome *hint hint*

You'll be going quicker and using less fuel to do so

With great power comes great fuel consumption...

Seems like a good move Chris. Once you've had AWD it's hard to go back to skittering around the place, with only two wheels driving. I'd be interested in your early reports on it when you get hold of it. I've often wondered why people don't go for wagons more often. They are far more practical and usually not much heavier, if at all. Why do people get locked into notch-back designs? That said, I'm not much of a fan of hatches or coupes, both are pretty useless for more than two people, especially the latter where getting into the back seat is a pain.
