Thread: Gen II Front seats

  1. #1

    Default Gen II Front seats

So what do you guys think of the front seats in your gen 2? personally i wish they didnt have the leather on the sides of the base of the seat. Mine are starting to get very noticable creases on the right side. probably from squashing it getting in and out of the car all the time. (im only 70kg) Only got 2500kms! i saw one parked today, so i took a look inside at his seat. It looked like shit! It had HUGE creases in the same part. looked like it was 10 years old. Thats why i dont like leather.
So tell me what you Gen II drivers think........

Thats quite odd, our SP25 is full leather, and still looks brand new, 25000KM on it..

The creases dont bother me, its leather and its going to happen.

Just wish they had spent a bit more money on them and made them a bit more comfortable lol.

I dont think the SP25 is bolstered as much as the MPS, which is where it creases.

Had my Black Gen 2 for 7 months and 14,000km's and although some creasing no real problems with the leather. I use Maguires leather care products fairly regularly on the leather and seems to help.

The Gen 1 luxury pack is the same, the leather on the right of the drivers seat gets creased, I used to worry about it but there's not much you can do, other than treat it with conditioners.

Yeah the leather bolsters my drivers seat are a bit worn after 6mths / 22,500km. The 'leather' in these Mazda's is crap is looks & quality. Not that good leather doesn't wear the same.

If it get really bad go into your mazda dealer and tell them your concerned. I have seen defects in leather trim considered warrantable before.
