Yea thats fair enough, thats one of the reasons thats holding me back too... Dunno which performance place is decent in Brissy to do the work... But having said that, isn't it a direct bolt on replacement to the stock DP?? So technically it shouldn't be "too hard" to install

Yes direct bolt on. Hoist makes easier, careful taking sensor out, grease new install of sensor with hi temp grease.OEM not greased. Approx 4 hrs dismantle and install.Make sure car is dead cold as either hot or warm bolts tend to expand and resist loosening.Best of luck.

Have a look at how much space you have to work back there - SFA!
Most places quote 6 hours labour to do this. You would almost have to be nuts to do it at home unless with you are very patient and proficient with this kind of thing.
Oh, and you will want gloves so you dont turn your hands into sushi.

Well, after all the glowing comments on this puppy, I am getting one at tax time.

Could get it now, but using tax money will stop the missus from blowing a head gasket lol.

Then its time to refit the xede and let the fun begin

^ Xede and DP! im jealous of that!

The first gen 2 mps I had was wild enough with the xede on it.

This one has more poke, so a DP and the xede is going to mean crazy fun lol.

Just have to watch the torque factor.

Mine was pushing close to 440nm with just the xede, forge BPV, and K&N panel.

Add the DP and I would imagine your getting pretty close to the no-go zone for the MPS g/box.
MPS is gone. Ghey Trail enabled....Not Happy. MPS 6 to come

Well after reading all the reply's in this thread decided this is the DP to get... Does this fit an Corksport or a CP-E cat back cause ill get one of those at the same time. Then maybe a SRI, plus save up a little more and get XEDE, hopefully all done before end of year depends on financials, total cost of sourcing all these parts to Victoria plus installation and tune would put it near the 3500 mark .

Whats the no go zone for a G-Box? also what power is safe for these engines? I would like 190fwkw honestly try and aim for 160kw per tonne .

Yes, You can fit any cat back that can bolt to stock setup.

O lol i thought these cars weighed like 1340ish, ok ill just have to make do with 150kw per tonne :P. Does anybody know the safe limit of these motors/gearboxes cause i dont want to kill the motor or drive-train?

Thanks for info on the exhaust too

Well im impressed. 1100 kms trip home , got it nice and hot , Pulled up several times late at night ,open highway ,no traffic, could see for miles and thumped it. WOW big improvement. Could really hear the sri sucking and the difference now with air in air out has really made me smile. Dyno at allstar in couple wks then on to chiptorque.
The car def now pulls harder and low down revs quicker./ easier.
IMO the mods are air in air out then others in that order.
My LTFT averaged for the trip +5.0 which is lean. Remembering + or - 10 is within scope.
Outside temp averaged 50F air intake temps averaged 62F
    Engine Temps averaged 189F.

Sydney 5pm peak hr traffic eng tmp 205F (shit) outside temp 50F (get me outa here)

nice one.. glad your enjoying it bud..

keep in mind your LTFT is because of the SRI and not because of the DP..

It wont be running lean.. its just having to add 5% more fuel to keep it running at 14.7

The DP rips... and it makes me smile

on a side note... hows the CEL going with the SRI?
