i think stock plugs are fine, but if youve got a few mods its nice to drop down 1 step colder.
im still running stock plugs and ive got a few mods, have colder plugs - just need to get around to installing

MPSgarage supply them for a very good price.

$25 last time I checked, Genuine were $32+

Nowhere else supplies colder plugs either.

Repco stock them for $22 each

Honestly mate unless you are running an advanced ignition timing and new ecu there is no advantage. Just get yourself some NGK plugs about the best plugs you can get to replace stock and still inexpensive.

I got the standard ones sold by MPSG but have yet to fit them. I don't know if they are hotter or colder than standard fitment. Anyone got a torque setting for these BTW?

I didn't notice any difference, I even went 2 steps colder.

I only changed to colder plugs for the known benefits/safety issues that colder plugs allow. (As stated in the post above)

I bought some NGKs Iridium plugs from Edge
I installed them without any problem, but was experiencing some hesitation or stutter on WOT on stage 2
I reloaded Stage 1, but this did not resolve the problem

I eventually realised that the NGKs required gapping
Stock MPS plugs are gapped at 0.028" or 0.71mm
NGK Iridium plugs I measured at 0.038" or 0.96mm. Although their website states that they are pre-gapped to 0.043" or 1.1mm

I re-gapped my plugs to 0.27" or 0.68mm as advised from Cobb for Stage 2 and I happy to announce there is no longer any hesitation or stuttering on WOT

There is certain special circumstances where you might need to gap them less, but that's when you get into higher power levels
