I'm not a big fan of the green RS but this is quite awesome, very tasty, interior isn't crash hot and at 35K POUND it's getting into seriously quick RWD coupe territory there

that is sex on wheels. that is the way hatches should look. only things i wasnt a big fan of was the red seats. also was pretty dissapointed with the 0-100 times. 5.9 secs for the 300hp version and 5.6 secs for the 345hp version. for a car of this power is not very quick and this is where you need awd

Man, Ford are dkheads... This should be in Aus now.

I would happily trade my STI in for one of these - and............. leave it stock!

I think you'd find that it would be marketed and valued against the Evo X and Subaru STi. Therefore, a $70-80k price tag would be reasonable. Hell, even at $85k I'd buy one!

mazda needs to step to the plate now. at least use the same design on the front suspension pls

Any changes to the suspension would be a step up lol

I fully agree with you Wardski but the bean counters at FORD don't agree they believe they wouldn;t sell enough to make it viable!! Yes I may be tempted to get one as well ( for my wife heee heee) no I won't be selling madaz any time soon

As Col has said, at £35,000 thats around $57,570 in todays exchange rate.

It does look good, I bet it goes good too, but I'm not sure that it would sell that well here (who'd pay almost $60k for a 2-door Ford Focus?)

Those contemplating spending 78k and 70k on Evo X & STi (respectively). Even those looking at VW R32's, or BMW 135, two door turbo charged series would have to consider that @ the $57k price point, thats a lot of goodness for not a lot.

I reckon you'd get many Ford XR6T, XR8T & FPV fanboys considering it too. Power to weight ratio wise, its a winner. It also sounds so fkin good!!

People said that if Ford built it, they would come. There are a multitude of petitions out there asking Ford Aus to reconsider. Let the people speak - Ford, listen up now!

Geez at $57k I'd sign for one now, that's Golf R money and the RS500 packs a whole lot more RRR than the R sadly if it made it here $70K ++ would be more like it!
    R36 - Just like an MPS6 except with a growly V6

I agree with everyone....but it sadly wont come here.

Australia car buyers still think V8 are the way...

So small 4 hot hatches are only bought by fanboys.

I would jump at one of these... as i have been looking in this segment of cars (Audi TT, BMW 135i and Vw R20)

But maybe...yes maybe... Ford Australia might reconsider and make a lot of car buyers happy and maybe change the way of thinking in Australia.

    Happy Motoring

I have been reading up on Ford's expectations this year. They are looking to push 11,000 Focus RS (standard models) in 2010. If theres a short fall of sales, they may ship a limited number to other countries to flog them off.

Mind you, I reckon they'll sell em all!

Is there a law against procreating with a motor vehicle.....cause I may be tempted to offend if there is

It would be nice, and Mazda have had every opportunity to give us one. They led us on with the MPS Extreme, and gave us nothing... P0rn or not, I'd have the focus RS over anything Mazda built any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
