I emailed Daniel at MPS Garage last night (Tuesday) just after 10:00 PM last night re possible supply of the shifter plate by 5-6th May and the availibility (and price of) the solid shifter bushings if included in the same deal.

Now after 11:30ish Wednesay here and still no reply??

    hmmmmm......

Hang in there...We'll get the details squared away. The parts have not even landed yet. 5-6th May is going to be tight.

Thanks for the rapid response Jamie. My son will be here for the week commencing 6th May so all in all there is SOME room to play. An answer re the solid bushing's price and availabilty as part of the deal was also very important.

It would be nice to have that clarified.

    Regards,

    Leon

OK guys here the info you've been waiting for.

$90 including postage till the end of May 2010, then it goes back to $99 + postage.

    Purchase the goods here:
    http://mpsgarage.com.au/shop/product...suit-mps6.html

Then send an email to sales@mpsgarage.com.au with your username on ozmpsclub and you will get the deal.

The kits should be there this week i believe.

    Thanks,
    Jamie

Shift plate fitted and tested as soon as I got it last night - smile from ear to ear.
Big test will be tomorrow on Merimbula run.
So far best $90 I have spent on the car - first mod that has made a HUGE instantly noticeable difference.
Shifting is so precise and accurate - no more missed gears

Took me longer to reset radio station and clock than it did to fit shift plate.

    Thanks MPS Garage
Only minor complaint is that different size tools required to fit than what was used to remove.

So far shifts are much smoother (less notchy) but I have only driven around the block. Better test tomorrow, lots of kilometres and gear changes. Clearer defined shifts 1st to 4th - 5th & 6th seem further away across neutral gate. It's probably just an illusion or feel as the change between 1st & 2nd/ 3rd to 4th is so short that across neutral is better defined ( I hope that makes sense)

Yeah I was unable to source automotive grade bolts with a 12mm head, but the 13mm is better anyway.

Merimbula cruise is over - lot's of kilometres and even more gearchanges.
My opinion of the shift plate - superb, just superb
Position of neutral gate (lever tilted slightly further forward) a bit disconcerting at first - had to check that I wasn't still in 5th once or twice only. Once used of the position of the neutral gate it became second nature. It was great fun using the gearbox as it should be used. Plenty of quick changes back through the gears.
The shift between the gears is so positive and direct, you know exactly what gear you are in and what gear you are trying to select, sensational
I can without fear highly recommend the shift plate, you won't believe how much of an improvement there is to the shift.

No. Everything is the same. We list model years a little differently here in the states.

    Thanks,

You ordered it from MPSGarage? I ordered mine the other day and it turned up this morning. One question, is the kit supposed to come with instructions? Mine didn't, although looks like I got a bonus bolt instead :S. The instructions available anywhere online?
