Thread: Post Your Rims Here!

  1. Default

Fitted XHP Jet Blacks to my 6MPS last week. 18 x 7.5. 19's would have looked better but can't change now. From some angles they look good, but looking directly at them I think they're very plain. Certainly gives the car a different look compared to the RX-8 rims I used to have. I think I like them....

Nice rims Nick, you're right, on an angle I think they look better, also I like the black and polished alloy look

Looks like you may need to get it lowered a bit now, what tyre size did you go with?

I went with Falken 452, 225/45. Originally wanted to go 225/40 like my previous tyres but I was after a better ride and higher wall height because of the crappy/gravel roads around my area. 235/40 was also an option but i was concerned about tramlining.

The car sits 10mm higher with these new tyres. Would like to lower it but driveway prevents this

Yeh Nick they look good, black and polished look FTW !!!

I thought seeing them in person that they filled the guards out pretty well and didnt look too bad

How about an MPS Verada with Pirelli Nero 215/45/18?

It was a failed experiment. I thought they looked good on the Mitsubishi, but I like to take a holiday from the harshness and twitchyness of the 45 series tyres when I drive this car so they came off two days later.

It seems these wheels may have found a new home on an MPS3. Watch this space....

ROH Mantis Shadow Chrome - 18 x 7.5 with 225\40 Falken rubber. Mine is currently at stock ride height, but I hate it, so couldn't help lowering it with photoshop, hopefully that's the height it will be sitting in a few months.
