    Default Mods being fitted!

Hi everyone, my gen.1 MPS3 goes to MPS garage tomorrow to get a few mods fitted and I'm excited! So far I have had the short gear shift kit, the HKS BOV. and the CPE CAI. fitted. Tomorrow and for the next couple of days I'm having the CPE front mount intercooler, the CPEturbo inlet pipe, CPE down pipe, stand back and harness, 3 pod dash with turbo boost, oil pressure and volt gauges and a dyna tune.

Hi Chris, I will stick with the stock cat back for the time being. If I spend any more money on the car I will finish up in the divorce courts!

The update on my car Matt is not good. Got a phone call yesterday {Wednesday} to tell me all mods completed, however whilst doing the dyna tune they discovered no. 4 conrod was bent! I'm getting all conrods replaced with upgrades and the car should be ready in aprox. two weeks. Have to wait for parts. No I wont be selling the car. And just as a matter of interest has anyone else had bent rods?

Better to ask forgiveness than permission!

I am very envious of your list of mods. If it weren't for the mortgage I'd do the same.

Thanks for your posts fellas. As you probably know, Mazda Garage are doing the mods for me and I can't speak highly enough of them. Daniel, the co-owner of the buisness has kindly loaned me his car {a Subaru STI, only 6 months young} until mine is ready. He doesn't know it yet but I'm taking it for a spin around Eastern Creek tonight!
Only joking. I had to say that incase he reads this!!!

Ahh, same here mate. My car let go a little while after I got it back, but went through the block, was quite an expensive exercise. MPS Garage did my rebuild and now it's running fine on the stock turbo.

Better to replace the rods now rather than later, cause if you drive it on bent rods, you'll do what i did!

You do realise Alan, your car can handle alot more now. Like massive Power :-)
Correct me if i'm wrong, but you will be one of the few MPS 3's with a re-built bottom end!

Anyone else have a strong bottom end on here? Car's i'm referring to !

For everyone else, if you get a tick that is increasing with speed when the reves go up. You have a bent rod! I ignored it and BOOM! If I picked it up earlier and wasn't in a rush to get to that meeting, it could have saved my block, crank etc....
