Default MP3 player connected via AUX port - help please

    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anybody has connected an mp3 player to the AUX port in their car? I hooked mine up today and I am only getting sound from the left speakers (obviously only running in single channel)...

    Anybody else having this problem?

Car is an 07 MPS 3.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Matt.

Are you sure the cord is pushed in properly, I know sometimes when mine isn't there isn't a good connection and exactly that happens, only one speaker works. If it is, try another lead otherwise take it back to Mazda to be repaired under warranty.

Oh yeh just thought I'd add to check your "Balance" and "Fade" settings to make sure they're set to zero also, or you can just see if the radio plays out of all speakers to test this.

I checked that the cable was pushed all the way in. Also checked the balance and fade settings. Everything seems to be fine, but I get no sound from the right speakers...

Using the CD player / Radio works fine on all speakers.

    Might try another cord.

Yeah I'd do that before I took it any further, even try wiggle the cable around at the AUX port and on the mp3 player side, just to see if the other speaker attempts to come on or not and if so, it's almost definitely the lead.

Well i just tried another cable... It works fine now haha.

Weird... The first cable was a "quality" belkin cable...

The one I am using now is a standard pc speaker cable.

Oh well. Thanks for your help Joe!

Take it back and get a refund. That's dodgy!
