Default XEDE Two Map plus Switch possibility

    Hey,
I have a XEDE installed and was thinking about their two tuning map ability. I drive alot of ks so I dont want it heavily boosting in city driving, but also want to have the the extra power when I pull up at the lights beside one of you

So what I was thinking is having it tuned with a high and low map and then running a switch/button around to where the light dimmer/DSC buttons are on the right hand side near the key there...

Anyone got a XEDE isntalled and running two maps, and how do you have it set up?
Is there anything impossible or crazy about my idea?
    Any other suggestions?

    Cheers.

    Definately doable I think.

Rino who is got a Haltech interceptor, got installed a switch where he can go from 14psi to 18psi anytime he feels young again

I hope to be too from now on, since the warranty has mostly be voided on the car with Mazda I dont really have much use for them. So I'll get the Allstar guys to do all my services etc.

Ive got no issues there since I am getting mine replaced at the moment with a garrett so I should have alot of life in it :-) I might get it back tomorrow it is taking soooo long, 3 weeks this Thursday. And no, it wasn't covered underwarranty.

You can purchase the dual map switch kit from ChipTorque for $25. Or any SPST switch will work.

For XEDE's located in the engine bay, you could be looking at $120 to $180 to wire in and mount the switch, depending on how tricky it is to feed it through the firewall with your existing wiring. I have attached the wiring diagram which shows how to wire the dual map feature on the XEDE. Then either dyno tuning or a program fee applies to setup the 2nd map to your requests, like a lower boost map of your existing XEDE Tune. Average cost of this would be $200, but may vary depending on your specific requests. The 2nd map is uploaded using XMap tuning software.

So all up you could be looking at $405.00 or less.
