Thread: 6MPS and 3MPS exhaust diagram (handy resource)

Default 6MPS and 3MPS exhaust diagram (handy resource)

Came across this on Street Unit's website. Diagrams show the stock 6MPS and 3MPS exhausts, detailing what parts of the exhaust are replaced with various modifications (aftermarket down pipe, test pipe, turbo-back and cat-back exhausts, mufflers etc). A handy resource for those unfamiliar with our exhaust systems

Really Handy. Curious to know, how many cat's are there in the 3 MPS system? 1 or 2? If the dump pipe (where the 2nd O2 sensor attachs to) is replaced with an aftermarketi item, does the ECU ever throw a CEL?

MPS3 gen1's have 2 cat's. I've replaced my dump pipe and deleted one cat. No CEL's for me...

On the Gen 1, you can "trick" the O2 sensor into thinking it is really working, on the Gen 2 however, you need to have the 2nd O2 after the cat.

To me it looks like the American ms3's run 2 resonators and a small rear muffler all from the cat back Instead of resonator, chamber muffler and small muffler for the Mps.

Question I'm new to forums "How do I see the diagram?"

I'm a new owner of a MPS 6 and trying to get some pointers from you guys but am having trouble navigating the forum, in this case how do I find the mentioned diagram?
