DSG I think they are, in the US has a Gen1 AWD.
Google and Youtube are your friends right about now.
Have heard it's about an $8K mod - DG motorsport I think it is, MPSGarage have a solution judging from their comments from time to time.
Do you have the $? It's something I'd consider myself if the funds were there to splurge with. After an uptune :-)
Alternatively, a quaife differential won't get you AWD, but it will make a significant difference, apparently...

Yep, I could see that a s possible mod in the future - looooong after warranty has run out tho, and I've got the spare cash just lying around...
Someone should start a AWD kit for them...hint hint!!
i love it! i really want ask if its reliable tho! i wanna neck sti's n evo's off the line
should turn MPS 3 into FR .. make it become a drift machine..
would b awesome but for 8k hmmmmmm.
2xs this might b a project for u design an awd drivetrain for the 3
It would be quite easy I think.
Take the MPS3 Engine, slap a MPS6 Gear box and transfer case, MPS 6 Rear Diff and get a custom tail shaft made up cause the drive line wouldn't be the same.
I hear there might be a Group Buy for the kit !
I read somewhere the details involved.
They used various parts from the MPS6 but also the CX7. I can't quite remember where it was from and I think there was only 1 or 2 custom parts used, the rest was OEM parts.
I'm not undertaking a project like this. Any sort of decent power put through the std MPS6 box would have breakages for sure. Especially if you used the AWD for what it was intended.
Yeah, I think 2XS is right, the MPS6 driveline was probably not the toughest AWD driveline around, works well with the power available, but punish it and things break! If you were really keen on turning an MPS 3 into AWD, you'd want to source something alot stronger. The CX-7 rear end (suspension) is more like the 3 with the control blade multi link set-up from Ford! The AWD drive bits are mostly 6!
R36 - Just like an MPS6 except with a growly V6
It's always going to be possible but expensive with things like this.
