Has anyone tried the Pilot Super Sport? (not the PS2 nor sports 3 as per the sticky poll). Am thinking of getting a set of these based on online reviews...
    Cheers!

I'm thinking of the same. Have made a short list of about 5 tyres after reading the forums threads and recommendations, so when it comes to choosing a tyre, im ready !

Haven't check out Australian pricing, but US pricing seems very reasonable.

The Pilot Super Sport was given 1st in the Max Performance Summer tyre on tyrerack - Michelin Pilot Super Sport

Check out the tests and video section.

BB is right if you don't want a aggressive extreme road tyre go the Super Sports... No doubt i would if i was after a high performance tyre.

But since i want to get rims sometime in the next year i just brought some Direzza Z1 Starspecs from tyre rack , 1040 shipped to my door. Retail price i found here was $330 a corner :S.

Kumho 36's have about 1 - 2 thou km left not bad wearing honestly they have been punished and to last over 16,000km pretty happy.

The super sports are only $1140 shipped from T/R! Not too much more :-)

i got new tyres yesterday. Had my mind set on dunlop sp sportmaxx but walked out with pirelli pzero nero (215/40/18) for 1k for all 4 corners. Impressions so far is lighter steering ( not sure if i like this yet ..but the car turns easier ) I got this over the dunlop as i wanted to go 215 so that when i drop my car there'll be no scrubbing with my wrong offset rims

Checked the pressures yet? Sound like they just pumped them up a lot. Those tyres don't have a high silica content and a low void ratio, so they should feel firm and responsive, but not "Light" as such.
