Bit more data to add, in traffic today, stop start for about 10 minutes

    Ambient temp 28C
    IAT 56C
    Boost 65C

Once moving (50-90kph) the IAT dropped to 32C and boost to 45C within a minute, ambient 28C

Update! And more from Today, more slow traffic 20 mins crawling

    Ambient temp 31C
IAT 73C (highest point around 15 min mark)
    Boost 77C (as above)

Default Sensible data from mine now....

After I wrote a script to process the BAT sensor readings :-)

Ambient was around 30 when started, high twenties once underway. Obviously plenty of hot air stored under the bonnet after sitting for 3 hours...46 / 62 degrees at start.....

Does anyone notice the "Boost Temp" increasing during "no boost load" and start to drop when you open the throttle?

    Ambient: 28
    Intake:38
Boost:47 (increases to high 50s when no boost, downhill etc.)

Yeah i have to make a heatsheild for my SRI, after having my car Dynoed yesterday i was told that out in traffic the intake quickly rose from 35 up to 60 very quickly

looks like i win the prize

90 degrees intake and boost temps when it was that really hot day in sydney (at least 40 degrees) and i was stuck in traffic for 30 minutes that was moving just enough for it to not be possible to switch the engine off

only had a short ram on the car at the time too

i was afraid to actually go over 2000rpm... if only i had a camera

yeah i get that all the time

the temp will drop a few degrees when you start moving, but then it will increase a few degrees when you cruise at low rpms, even with good airlfow

open it up and the temps drops again

I was at KFC drive through lunch time today and it had been raining all day and night so ambient temp was like 20. There was a considerable wait time and started to realise that the bonnet was smoking. Got freaked then realised the intake temp was 70 degrees and was the cool rain hitting the bonnet.
