    Default How to fit an SRI - MPS 6

    This is specific to CES SRI and heatsheild, but, can be adapted to suit any SRI.








    Tools required:

    10mm Socket.
    12mm Socket.
    Philips head screwdriver.
    Flat blade screwdriver.
    Allen keys.

    Allow your self around 30 minutes to fit.




    Removal of the stock airbox

    Pop the bonnet.

    Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

    Disconnect the MAF sensor. (plug)

    Remove the MAF sensor. (2x philips head screws, replace into stock airbox)



    Undo airbox to turbo pipe. (10mm socket)

    Unclip and remove airbox lid. (4 clips)



    Remove air filter.

    Remove airbox base. (jiggle upwards)



    Remove airbox bracket. (2x 12mm bolts - gold colour)



    Removal complete.



















    Installation:

    Fit heatsheild - front first then lower the back.

    Attach the heatsheild. (rear bolt - located only, front bolt - tight)

    Fit SRI to bracket. (2x6mm bolts - supplied)

    Fit bracket to rear. (12mm bolt - tight)



    Fit filter. (tight)

    Tighten clamp on turbo pipe to SRI.

    Clean MAF sensor - if required. (recommended)

    Fit MAF sensor to SRI. (4mm Allen bolts - supplied) DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN



    Reconnect MAF sensor plug.

    Fit lid. (3x 4mm bolts - supplied)

    Position lid and attach to plastic above headlight. (2x 4mm screws)



    Reconnect battery.

    Start the car and test drive - sensibly, no tickets please.

    Easily interchangeable. I figured the 6 would be the harder of the two.

    hey troy do u have to drill a hole at the front to fix the heat shield? i haven done that yet

    Yes. Did you get the bolt and nut to go with it?

    yeah i did man. but got no drill lol will have to find someone with a drill and borrow

    does anyone have any dyno figures?

    any particular problems with CEL / fuel / backfiring / ECU etc???

    JUST Installed my 2xs SRI & SSP this morning!!! Totally wrapped with it!!! all up took about 45mins (As removed lower resinator too!)

    Very nice mate. Did the foil heat shielding come with it or something you added separately?

    It is included when you purchase the full kit from 2XS Racing.

    Hey mate awesome instructions. I've just picked up my MPS and was wondering which SRI kit this is and where you sourced it? Also what sort of induction sounds/flutter are you getting as a result as I don't want mine to be TOO noticeable.
