    Default MPS Gen2 SRI

Had a gandy at this thread http://www.ozmpsclub.com/forum/intak...ke-fitted.html

This is the first on my wish list... CES SRI.

As the front bumper section is wayyy different from the 1st Gen, would this be a similar set up to the 1st Gen, or would we need something different?

I reckon the only way would be to try and fit a old MPS SRI up to it and see.

Im gonna go see them in 3 wks time, the next 2 wkends they're not there...

Either that, or I'll see if Troy can have a gandy under the bonnet to see what he thinks?

I am keen on this too, just wondering about legality and warranty though

You shouldnt have warranty issues with an intake.
At the end of the day Mazda have to have some kind of proof that the intake caused any issues that are warrantable. Modifying a car in anyway brings some risk to warranty work - if you are worried about warranty dont mod..
It all depends on which stealership you go to for servicing etc, if in doubt ask your friendly service manager, if no go just use a new dealership.

In NSW an intake needs to be enclosed, with a full intake you may be okay (as they cant see the pod, its down behind the fog light). So its not exactly legal - there are some enclosures (COBB make one) or you could fab up your own.
At the moment I have the mazdaspeed CAI but I am only running the top bit (so its basically an SRI). If you get pulled over its simple enough to switch it over when you get home to get it cleared again by the RTA. You should be fairly safe though.. the MPS (in first gen anyway) is a sleeper - I have not had any police attention so far.

Exactly the same setup here, the lower pipe makes for a nice garage ornament...

Dan - I think any SRI setup from the 1st gen should fit yours.

    haha, great minds!!!
I had taken it off before it went back to Maz for a sleepover and CBF taking the wheel and plastics off to get it back on and it was still wet season, ill get around to it sooner or later!

Once you are moving IAT's are not THAT much different, only a few degrees.
